Professional and General Liability Program

Program Description
Claims-made professional liability and general liability coverage for healthcare facilities.

Available Limits

• Limits of liability up to $1,000,000 / $3,000,000
• Facility limits will be set no higher than the limits carried by associated physicians and/or surgeons

Coverage Features

• Professional and General Liability coverage available
• Coverage is provided on a claims-made basis, with an incident reporting trigger
• Unlimited reporting period on the Extended Reporting Endorsement (ERE) is standard, a 3-year reporting period is available - limits are not reinstated if ERE is purchased
• Employees share the facility's limit - the following are not considered employees: physician, surgeon, dentist, nurse anesthetist, nurse midwife, podiatrist, chiropractor, physician assistant, independent contractor and temporary worker (professional liability for these excluded employees must be obtained elsewhere)

• Radiology Services (x-ray, MRI, PET scans, CT scans, non-invasive radiology)
• Rehabilitation (PT, OT, Speech, Trauma)
• Dialysis Centers
• Home Health (Skilled Medical Care, Homemaker/Companion, Visiting Nurse)
• Ambulatory Healthcare Facilities

Ineligible Facility Types

• Blood or Organ Banks
• Entities Providing Healthcare Services to Prisons or any Correctional Facility
• Outpatient Surgery Centers
• Laser Surgery Centers

Guidelines

• All risks must be located in the United States
• The state in which the Healthcare Facility is located must allow Professional Liability coverage to be written on a surplus lines basis
